🎉 Congratulations to Greg & Rosie Savellis – Black Cat Café 🎉🐈⬛
Another business that has become an institution in Deniliquin 🏡 is the legendary Black Cat Café! If you’re a local in the room tonight, there’s no doubt your Friday night dinner 🍟🐟 at some point came from Greg & Rosie’s iconic café. Long regarded as the region’s best fish and chips (and potato cakes 🥔), the Black Cat Café was to Deni what Doyles on the Beach is to Sydney 🌊.
Greg and Rosie are no strangers to the Business Excellence Awards 🏅, being past winners themselves. They took over the business in 1985 📅 and for almost 40 years worked side by side seven days a week 💪💛. Their sons Stan and George were little boys when their journey began 👦👦, and their daughter Cassie 👧 was born in the early years of running the café.
Fun fact about the name “Black Cat” 🐈⬛: in Britain, Ireland, Scotland, and parts of Asia, black cats are thought to bring fortune 🍀, and sailors often kept them on ships as good luck omens ⚓. Well, Deni certainly had good luck 🍀 having Greg & Rosie run the Black Cat Café for 39 years!

Congratulations 🎉 and wishing you a relaxing and wonderful retirement 🏖️💛.
